Introduction

App Drafting Labs ("we," "us," or "our") is a brand operated by Offensive Threads LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website or use our mobile applications, including MatrixSnap, BeginAnyway, ClayChonk, and Jellyzip (collectively, the "Services").

By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

MatrixSnap — Data We Collect

MatrixSnap collects and processes the following data to provide its core features:

  • User-Uploaded Photos: When you use MatrixSnap's identification features, you may capture a new photo with the camera or choose an existing photo from your device photo library (for example, via Choose from Library). MatrixSnap accesses your photo library only when you explicitly choose to select an image — we do not browse or upload your library in the background. Selected or captured images are collected and processed solely for AI-assisted fossil and specimen identification. Photos may be stored locally on your device and, when you sync or identify, transmitted to our secure backend (Supabase) and analyzed via Google Gemini AI. We use these images only for the identification and logbook features you request (purpose limitation); we do not sell your photos or use them for unrelated advertising.
  • Location Data: With your explicit permission, MatrixSnap collects precise or approximate location data to tag discovery coordinates on your logbook entries and map your finds. Location access is optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings.
  • Logbook & User Content: Notes, identification results, timestamps, and other content you create within the app.
  • Account & Subscription Data: If you create an account or subscribe to premium features, we may collect your email address and subscription status via the Apple App Store.
  • Device & Diagnostic Data: Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash logs to improve performance and fix issues.

BeginAnyway — Data We Collect

BeginAnyway (formerly StartAlarm) is a local-first morning productivity app. It does not use generative AI and does not require an account to use core features. BeginAnyway may collect or store:

  • Task & Alarm Preferences: Task names, alarm schedules, streak counts, and completion history you create. These are stored on your device (SwiftData / local storage).
  • Camera / Proof Photos: When you choose photo proof, BeginAnyway accesses the camera (or photo library as a Simulator / fallback path) only after you initiate capture. Proof photos and thumbnails are stored locally on your device for History. We do not upload proof photos to our servers.
  • AlarmKit / System Permissions: With your permission, BeginAnyway may request AlarmKit authorization so system alarms can break Silent / Focus once Apple grants the entitlement. Permission status is handled by iOS; we do not receive your contacts or unrelated device data.
  • Subscription Status: If you subscribe to BeginAnyway Plus ($4.99/month or $19.99/year in the US, with a 7-day free trial), Apple/StoreKit may share subscription status with us for entitlement. Billing is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.

BeginAnyway is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or ADHD care. It is a productivity tool for starting tasks you choose.

ClayChonk — Data We Collect

ClayChonk is a local, on-device clay playground. It does not use generative AI and does not require an account for core play. Mash, fire, shelf, share, and daily studio gifts stay free. Optional cosmetic packs (for example Garden Glaze and Spooky Tray) are one-time non-consumable in-app purchases — not subscriptions. ClayChonk may collect or store:

  • On-device clay / shelf state: Clay shapes and pieces you create or keep may be stored locally on your device so you can continue a session or revisit saved pieces. Deleting the app removes this local data.
  • Purchase / entitlement status: When you buy or restore a pack, Apple processes payment through the App Store. ClayChonk uses StoreKit and RevenueCat to confirm which packs you own so unlocks work across reinstalls on the same Apple ID. We do not receive your full payment card details. Packs are not auto-renewing.
  • Haptics & device capabilities: The app may use Core Haptics and related device APIs on supported iPhones. Capability checks stay on-device; we do not receive unrelated contacts or location data for clay play.
  • Device & diagnostic data: Device type, OS version, app version, and crash logs may be used to improve reliability (for example via Apple’s standard crash reporting if enabled). ClayChonk does not include a third-party advertising or analytics SDK that tracks you across apps.

Clay play is designed to stay on your device. We do not sell clay session data or use it for advertising. Restore Purchases in the pack sheets re-syncs packs you already bought on your Apple ID.

Jellyzip — Data We Collect

Jellyzip is a cozy one-thumb candy runner that plays entirely on your device. It does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not track you. We do not collect personal information from Jellyzip players — including children. Specifically:

  • Game progress stays on your device: Levels, stars, beans, outfits, pets, daily treats, and event progress are saved locally on your iPhone. We never receive them. Deleting the app removes this data.
  • No ads, no tracking: Jellyzip contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics, and it never asks for permission to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple: Optional Character Packs (US $1.99 or $2.99 each) and the all-packs bundle (US $7.99) are one-time in-app purchases — never subscriptions. Apple processes payment through the App Store; we never see your card details. Jellyzip uses RevenueCat only to keep your purchase history, confirm which packs you own, and power Restore Purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID and your App Store purchase record — no name, email, or contact details.
  • Game Center is optional: If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center, Apple handles your Game Center profile and any leaderboard scores under Apple's own privacy policy; we do not receive your Game Center contact details. Jellyzip works fully without it.
  • Diagnostics: If you have opted in to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports. These contain no personal information.

Jellyzip does not use your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. To restore packs on a new device, tap Restore Purchases in Settings or the Characters shop while signed in to the same Apple ID. Questions? Email support@appdraftinglabs.com.

How We Process Your Data

We use collected information to:

  • Process fossil and specimen identification requests using AI-assisted analysis (MatrixSnap only)
  • Tag and display discovery coordinates on your personal logbook and map (MatrixSnap only)
  • Store BeginAnyway tasks, streaks, and locally captured proof photos on your device to power missions and History
  • Store ClayChonk clay / shelf state locally on your device to power play sessions
  • Store Jellyzip game progress locally on your device (we do not receive it)
  • Provide, maintain, and improve MatrixSnap, BeginAnyway, ClayChonk, Jellyzip, and our other applications
  • Enable offline-first functionality with optional cloud synchronization
  • Respond to support inquiries and communicate with you
  • Process in-app purchases (including ClayChonk cosmetic packs and Jellyzip Character Packs — one-time purchases via Apple / RevenueCat — and subscription tiers in other apps where offered)
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud

Data Storage & AI Processing

MatrixSnap is designed to work offline. Your data is stored locally on your device by default. When you enable cloud sync or use AI identification features (including photos you captured or selected from your library):

  • Supabase: Your data — including photos, logbook entries, and location coordinates — is securely stored and synchronized via Supabase, our cloud infrastructure provider. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS/HTTPS) and stored on secure servers.
  • Google Gemini AI: User-uploaded photos submitted for identification are processed through Google Gemini AI via our secure backend infrastructure. Images are sent solely for the purpose of generating identification results and are not used to train third-party models beyond the scope of providing the Service.

Cloud sync and AI features in MatrixSnap require your explicit opt-in. You may use MatrixSnap's offline features without enabling either.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our apps, including:

  • Apple App Store / StoreKit: For app distribution and in-app purchases (payment processed by Apple)
  • RevenueCat: Used by ClayChonk and Jellyzip (and other apps where configured) to verify App Store purchase entitlements and restore pack ownership — not for advertising
  • Supabase: For secure cloud data storage and synchronization (MatrixSnap; not used by ClayChonk or Jellyzip)
  • Google Gemini: For AI-assisted fossil and specimen identification in MatrixSnap only (not used by BeginAnyway, ClayChonk, or Jellyzip)
  • Apple Game Center: Optional sign-in and leaderboards in Jellyzip, operated by Apple under Apple's privacy policy
  • Google Play / Apple App Store: For distribution and in-app purchases where offered

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data necessary to provide the requested feature.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with data brokers or third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not monetize your data. Your photos, location data, logbook entries, fits, and reactions are used exclusively to provide the relevant app's features and improve the Services.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Services. Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud-synced data is retained until you request deletion or close your account.

Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

  • Access, update, or delete your personal information
  • Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data (photos, logbook entries, location data, and cloud-synced content)
  • Opt out of cloud sync and AI features at any time
  • Revoke camera, photo library, microphone, and location permissions through your device settings
  • Export your data upon request

To request data deletion, email us at privacy@appdraftinglabs.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days and confirm when your data has been removed from our systems.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Jellyzip, which families may play together, collects no personal information from any player. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@appdraftinglabs.com and we will promptly delete it.

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission and secure cloud storage via Supabase. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
