Our applications, including FossilFinder Pro, may collect and use the following types of data to provide core functionality:

• Precise Device Location — Used to map geological data, record field discoveries, and display location-aware features. Location access is requested only when needed and can be managed through your device settings.
• Device Camera — Used to capture photographs of fossils and geological specimens for on-device and cloud-assisted identification. Photos are processed solely to deliver identification results.
• App Usage & Diagnostics — Limited technical data (such as crash reports and performance metrics) may be collected to improve app stability and user experience.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

Offline-First Architecture & AI Sync

AppDrafting Labs products are built on an offline-first architecture. Your data is stored locally on your device as the primary source of truth, enabling full functionality without an internet connection.

When you choose to sync data to the cloud, selected content (such as fossil images and identification metadata) may be processed through Google Gemini AI strictly for the purpose of specimen identification and related app features.

• AI processing is limited to delivering identification results — not for profiling, advertising, or resale.
• We do not sell your data to data brokers or third-party marketing platforms.
• Cloud sync is optional; local-only usage is fully supported.

Data Retention

Data stored locally on your device remains under your control and persists until you delete the app or clear app data. Cloud-synced data is retained only as long as necessary to provide services or until you submit a deletion request. Upon verified request, we will delete your account and associated cloud data within a reasonable timeframe.

Third-Party Services

Our apps may integrate with third-party services (such as Google Gemini AI for identification processing and platform services provided by Apple and Google). These services operate under their own privacy policies. We share only the minimum data required to deliver requested functionality.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
